Gerard Doherty - Owner
After graduating from University College Dublin with a BE in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters of Engineering Science, Gerard worked in industry for 20 years as a Project Engineer, Projects Manager, Plant Manager, Operations Manager and finally as General Manager of ABB Ltd. Cables Division for Ireland & UK.
In 2007 Gerard set up Zero Carbon to assist organisations in improving Energy Management. Over the past 14 years he has assisted over 300 organisations in the EU, Africa, Middle East and Asia. He is a Chartered Engineer with a MSc in Renewable Energy and Energy Management. He is also a Certified Measurement and Verification Professional, a Certified Professional in Energy Management, and a National Expert on NSAI's TC301 committee reviewing standards on energy management and energy savings.
Erik Gudbjerg - Senior Consultant
Erik Gudbjerg (B.Sc.) is a recognised international expert on industrial energy efficiency and energy management systems with over 30 years of experience in technical, economic and financial assessment of Renewable Energy and energy efficiency investments, including 20 years of experience in energy auditing. He possesses broad experience in preparing and implementing energy efficiency projects for clients and is highly experienced in the assessment of training needs and in developing training concepts and material relating to energy efficiency and energy auditioning. Since 2012 he has assisted over 100 organisations in implementing or improving Energy Management Systems working for UNIDO, the World Bank and the Danish Technology Institute among others including H2020 projects
He is a certified consultant by the Danish Energy Agency and holds various certificates including Energy management training DS 2403, Environmental training 14001, Lead auditor ISO 50001. Erik was a Panel leader at ECEEE in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016 for industrial energy efficiency
